It’s a Good Day
Don’t all of us need to daily take a moment of reflection? What is before me? What is today to be like?
I heard a preacher say we should ask God daily, “What’s Your purpose for me today?”
Piglet said to friend, Winnie the Pooh early one morning, “I wonder what will happen exciting today?”
Herman Cain used to start his radio show declaring, “Today is a good day for a good day.”
Jesus came to give us life—life more abundantly. So, shouldn’t we start the day expecting Him to give us an exciting, good day? To help us fulfill His destiny for us—today!
Scriptures to meditate on:
“Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV)
“O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant…Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” (Neh 1:11 NIV)
“Today if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.” (Heb. 3:15 NIV)
“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced.” (Ps. 105:4-5 NIV)
“He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed.” (Proverbs 3:34 NIV)
“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” (Psalm 84:11)
